The History of Tarantos

Taranto’s Pizzeria started in Lewis Center on Super Bowl Sunday in the year 2000. Debbie Taranto alongside her family worked to create the pizza you all know and love, originally a family recipe they knew they had to share it with others. After all these years Taranto’s Pizzeria continues to make fresh dough and its special pizza sauce daily. Our dedication to quality helped Taranto’s win the honor of "Best of the Midwest", and the “International Pizza Award" in Las Vegas. A hometown pizzeria at heart, built and owned by community members, we look forward to seeing the look of joy when you try our pizza.

Taranto's Takes 'Best of the Midwest' at Presto Foodservice Show

John Taranto and Debbie Taranto of Taranto's Pizzeria in Lewis Center, Ohio, competed August 19, 2008 at the Midwest qualifiers "Best of the Midwest" challenge in Indiana. The contest was sponsored by Presto. Taranto's took first place, and earned a spot at the International Pizza Challenge at International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada. That show took place in April and Taranto's placed as one of the top finalists.
